Dr. M. Bonaventure Higgins is a member of the Sisters of Mercy, South Central Province, Ireland. She is a qualified teacher for primary and post-primary education and has served as principal of Our Lady of Mercy College, Beaumont, Dublin. Dr. Higgins received her Ph.D. with a specialization in Canon Law from Dublin City University / All Hallows College. She has studied at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, California and engaged in research at St. Paul University Library, Ottawa.
As a member of the Dublin Archdiocesan Jubilee Committee she engaged in preparation for the Jubilee 2000 and has been involved in faith sacramental, pastoral and catechetical ministries.
