Escobedo, Libby Karlinger

Libby Karlinger Escobedo completed her undergraduate degree at UCLA before pursuing graduate studies in the History of Art at Bryn Mawr College. She spent four and half years at the Index of Christian Art at Princeton University, cataloguing medieval manuscripts from the Pierpont Morgan Library.

Unlike other books on the topic, this study argues that Walter de Milemete devised the manuscript project himself to further his academic and ecclesiastical career. In addition, this work demonstrates that de Milemete originally intended the manuscripts for Edward II, not Edward III.
