James Conroy has published poems and short stories in numerous literary journals and periodicals, including Xanadu, Blue Unicorn, Grub Street, Visions, and The Dan River Anthology. At present, he is under contract for his first novel, The Hostile Comrade. For three years he has conducted a poetry workshop with homeless women and their children residing in the safe haven of a shelter.
