Whitt, Hugh P.

Hugh P. Whitt is Professor of Sociology at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He received his PhD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has published numerous journal articles, book chapters, and encyclopedia entries on the moral statisticians, criminology, the sociology of religion, and statistical methods in the social sciences. His coauthored book, The Currents of Lethal Violence: An Integrated Model of Suicide and Homicide, received the Distinguished Book Award for 1995 from the Mid-South Sociological Society.
