About Ludo Jongen

Dr. Ludo Jongen is Senior Lecturer in Middle Dutch Literature at Leiden University. He received his Ph.D. at the Faculty of Arts of Utrecht University in The Netherlands. Dr. Jongen has edited and translated into Modern Dutch some ten Middle Dutch texts, varying from Arthurian romances to the lives of saints. He has published in Amsterdamer Beiträge zur älteren Germanistik, Collectanea Franciscana, and Nephologus about the adaptation in Middle Dutch of Middle Dutch vitae (saints’ lives) and classical Latin epics.
